In a idyllic woodland location next to the West Midlands Safari Park, there's plenty here to offer primary & secondary schools looking for an exciting adventure in the forest.
This Woodland Adventure is packed with forest activities making the most of this adventurous setting. Climb to the top of the tower, have a go at archery & rifle shooting, try out our new artificial caving system, toast marshmallows around the campfire and outdoor cookery! With a trip to the West Midlands Safari Park included, this is an action-packed adventure that your pupils will love!
At the end of an action packed day, relax in your own private Yurt Village with dining shelter, campfire area and night toilet, with a main toilet & shower block close by.
Open from May-July, you can choose to stay for 2 or 4 nights.

All of our activity sessions are led by our qualified/assessed instructors whose aim is to deliver engaging, fast-paced, fun activities that build confidence and foster a love of the great outdoors.

Monday
Welcome at 12pm. A woodland picnic on arrival, followed by climbing. Campfire Cooking

Bushcraft / Orienteering/Giant Initiative/Axe Throwing (NEW)/Acorn's Got Talent by the campfire.

Sleep in WOODLAND YURTS
Our magical Bell Tent Village is set in a private setting within the forest offering a magical outdoor experience. Your pupils will sleep in bell tents with comfortable camping mats and teachers are in smaller bell tents with raised beds for a little extra comfort as well as electricity.
Next to the Bell Tent Village is a night toilet for extra convenience and there is a purpose built toilet and shower block a short walk away. Your village will have a private dining shelter with campfire area, used for cooking & dining in the evenings.

Sleeping under the stars in a cosy Woodland Village is a proper adventure & very exciting! With comfy sleeping mats (and beds for teachers), you will get a good night's sleep after an action-packed day and an evening toasting marshmallows around the campfire.

There are so many fun activities on offer here including axe throwing, climbing, archery, rifle shooting, caving (in our new artificial caving system), bushcraft, nightline and more! You'll even get to cook food on the campfire. Yum, yum.
west midlands safari park
A visit to the West Midlands Safari Park is always a real treat and you'll get to meet the animals and experience their educational programme, designed specifically for schools. Right next door, you can walk here from your Yurt Village.

We always carefully select our locations to offer the best adventure and our Woodland Adventure was chosen because of its pretty woodland setting and close proximity to the West Midlands Safari Park (right next door!) Easily accessible from the M5 & M6, there are excellent transport links.

An Acorn Adventure has always been great value and we work hard to offer the best quality experience for prices you can afford, which is why we offer 2 and 4 night options at our Woodland Adventure.
Our prices include full board accommodation, activities each day, evening entertainment, free teacher places (1:10 ratio), entry to the West Midlands Safari Park, kit & equipment and instruction. We can organise your coach transport on request, for an additional charge.
