Paddle your canoe on Llangorse lake (the largest natural lake in South Wales) or have a go at the increasingly popular stand up paddleboarding activity. Test your fear of heights on our climbing wall, high ropes course or zip wire. Challenge your target skills by learning rifle shooting or archery techniques. Or make your way by boat to our remote wild camp to fine tune your bushcraft skills. You can even camp here overnight if you choose!
Popular with both primary aged groups and secondary schools, our programmes here suit all ages and abiliites.
All activities are delivered by our motivated qualified and assessed team and include evening activities such as team games or a night toasting marshmallows around the campfire.
Famous for its lakes, dramatic mountains, open countryside and rural villages, the Brecon Beacons is a popular location for school and group adventure residentials. Set in a pretty village in the Brecon Beacons National Park, with views of Pen y Fan, our exclusive and private camps are ideally located to make the most of the water and mountain views. There is a choice of accommodation here. Choose from camping in one of our pre-erected tented villages at our private 17 acre Adventure camp, a short walk from the lake. Or, stay in our new camping pods (built in 2015), set on the shores of Llangorse Lake.
Our scenic 17 acre campsite in the Brecon Beacons offers countryside views and easy access to all the land-based activities. The camp is a short walk away from Llangorse Lake, where the watersports take place. Our camping villages are designed specifically for groups create a real sense of community and add so much to the experience. Each of our traditional camping villages combine comfort with the joy of camping, consisting of 16-18 fire retardant PVC tents each with four beds, sprung mattresses and a solid floor (sleeping up to 60).
Each Village also has its own marquee, lit 24hrs a day for dining and socializing and where drinks and fruit are always available. Around the clock, our highly experienced and qualified staff are never far away but you’ll also have your own Village Manager to support you as required.
Our teacher tents now include wooden flooring, two solid timber beds, wardrobe and lighting. Your group is guaranteed exclusive use of a village (based on a min. 35 paying people) and so you can make the whole space your own, perfect for group interaction and team building.
Camping pods are now available at our private Brecon Beacons camp (built in 2015), nestled in at the lakeside for the ultimate luxury camping experience, without losing that all important adventure feel.
Pupil pods sleep up to five and have proper beds, lighting and heating. Party Leader pods sleep up to three and have proper beds, a kitchenette, toilet/basin and TV.
Close to the pods, are separate toilet and shower facilities for boys and girls, a drying room, changing rooms and a private Party Leader shower and changing area. Dining takes place in the on-site canteen and there is a function room and on-site shop, as well as space for games.
