Acorn Adventure Centres
Hop over the channel to our small, friendly and perfectly formed lakeside adventure camp, conveniently located just two hours from the UK. Set in the pretty French town of Ardres, this popular residential combines an onsite water sports programme, with an array of land based activities. From paddle boarding to canoeing, high ropes to target sports, there’s a real variety and all activities take place on site. If you wish to explore the Opal Coast, groups love Boulogne sur Mer, and its aquarium, 30 mins away.
Experience it all at our seaside adventure camp in Northern France. Steeped in history, with rugged splendour; Normandy is a popular destination with schools and groups seeking a French residential that combines adventure with culture and history. Climb up a quarry wall- our best climbing venue in France, refine your paddling skills on our sit on top kayaks, test your nerves on the Leap of Faith, enjoy beach games on the local sandy beach and soak up the culture at Mont St Michel or the Bayeux Tapestry.
Head to our brand new Adventure destination on the edge of the Dordogne in South West France, where you will learn to sail picos, sit-on kayaks and get to grips with paddle boarding, as well as an array of other exciting activities including a high ropes course in the trees and gorge scrambling. This self-contained Adventure centre, run by our Club Correze partners, offers an exciting and varied French residential course, and includes a private dormitory accommodation block and excellent sports facilities for free time.

Our Mediterranean Adventure is ideally located in a private zone of a large complex offering groups a fantastic activity programme with lots of beach time, cabin accommodation and excellent facilities including a swimming pool. Also included is a day at Waterworld and a visit to Barcelona.
Situated between popular resorts of Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava, Cala Canyelles is a privately owned Spanish sports complex. It is conveniently located just 300 metres from the beach. This completely self contained centre is well suited to groups wanting to combine the delights of a beach holiday with a terrific range of watersports and dry land activities taught by locally trained instructors.
Paddle your raft down the white waters of the Dora Baltea, climb a crag surrounded by views of the Alps, scramble the local gorges and explore our high ropes course in the trees. Our Alpine Adventure in the picturesque Aosta Valley, Italy, offers close proximity to lakes, white water rivers, mountains and crags; making an ideal setting for a fantastic adventure residential. Our private centre is set in the Gran Paradiso National Park next to the Dora Baltea River and is surrounded by alpine trees and mountain views.
New for 2017, Acorn is now offering schools and groups a 10 day adventurous programme in India; one that perfectly combines culture with adventure and offers young people the best all round experience of this vibrant and magical country. Our Himalayan Adventure programme will include time to explore Delhi’s markets and historical places of interest.
Our brand new Maltese Adventure trip offers schools and groups a spectacular adventure programme with the chance to experience a range of exciting outdoor activities from coasteering to zip lining across the sea! One day you’ll be abseiling down a crag by the Mediterranean Sea and the next you’ll be enjoying the thrills of Malta’s waterpark. Evenings will be spent relaxing back at the Guest House or exploring the vibrant coastal entertainment centre just 10 minutes away.
Breathe in the fresh mountain air as you paddle on the lake, enjoy breathtaking views from the high ropes course, explore the National Park hills by foot, toast marshmallows on the campfire on the shores of Llangorse lake and kata kanu over to our wild camp to learn bushcraft skills. Be at one with nature at our brand new Woodland Adventure Safari Camp, set in the Wyre Forest, so close to the West Midlands Safari Park you can hear the lions roar! Exclusive to primary and prep schools, you’ll enjoy your own private tipi village in the woods (and be the only school on camp!) and experience a varied 2- 5 day activity programme from climbing to bushcraft. A proper woodland adventure! You’ll also visit the West Midlands Safari Park to see the animals, enjoy the rides and do some educational activities, specifically for schools.
Bring PE at GCSE and BTEC level to life with these action packed activity courses at our Brecon Beacons Adventure Camp, based on the doorstep of the largest lake in South Wales. As part of the ‘Outdoor and Adventurous Activities’ syllabus we offer Climbing, Canoeing, Kayaking and Mountain Activities. We will work with you to ensure your programme suits your syllabus and Exam Board for either GCSE PE, BTEC Sport or BTEC Public Services, Levels 1-3. During the course, our instructional staff will work with you and the students to build a Learning Log for each activity covered in order to provide evidence for each student’s coursework.
